When we say “we”, “us” or “our”, we mean ISTD Enterprises. 
When we say “you”, we mean the customer. 
 

2. Using our shop 
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. 

You must be 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to place an order. 

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order at our discretion, for example if we suspect fraud, misuse, or incorrect pricing. 
 

3. Our products 
We sell: 
  • Physical products, such as books, CDs and DVDs
  • Digital products, such as books, downloadable or streamed audio and video content 
Some products may only be available in digital format as part of our sustainability programme. 

All products are subject to availability. 
 

4. Prices and payment 
  • All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£)
  • Prices include VAT where applicable
  • Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout 
Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering. 

We accept payment by debit or credit card via Shopify’s secure payment system. We do not store your card details. 

Prices may change at any time, and we may modify or discontinue products or services without notice. 
 

5. Membership discounts 
ISTD Members may be entitled to a member discount. 

To receive a discount: 
  • You must be logged in, or use the relevant discount code where applicable
  • Your membership must be valid at the time of purchase 
Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively. 
 

6. Placing an order 
When you place an order: 
  1. You are making an offer to purchase so please review your order carefully before submitting.
  2. We reserve the right to accept or decline your order for any reason.
  3. We must receive and process your payment before your order is accepted.
  4. We may be unable to accommodate cancellation requests after an order is accepted.
  5. In the event that we do not accept, make a change to, or cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you by contacting the e‑mail, billing address, and/or phone number provided at the time the order was made.

7. Delivery of physical products 
  • We aim to dispatch physical items within 2 working days
  • Orders are usually sent via Royal Mail
  • Delivery times may vary, especially for international orders 
Delivery costs, customs duties and local taxes (where applicable) are your responsibility. 
The risk of loss or damage passes to you once the items are delivered. 
 

8. Digital products 
Digital products: 
  • Are for personal use only
  • Must not be shared, copied, uploaded, resold or distributed
  • May include digital rights management (DRM) protection 
By purchasing a digital product, you agree to use it in line with these Terms and Conditions. 
 

9. Copyright and intellectual property 
All content sold or displayed in this shop — including syllabus material, books, images, audio and video — is protected by copyright. 

You must not: 
  • Copy, share or reproduce content
  • Upload content to the internet
  • Use content for commercial or teaching purposes beyond your licence 
Unauthorised use may result in legal action. 

 
10. Returns and refunds 

Physical products 
You may return physical items within 14 days of receipt if they are: 
  • Faulty, or
  • Unopened and unused 
Returns should be sent (with proof of postage) to:

Refunds will be issued once the item is received and checked. 

Digital products 
Digital products are non‑refundable, unless: 
  • The file is faulty or corrupt, and
  • The issue cannot be resolved by providing a replacement copy 
If you experience a problem, please contact sales@istd.org with your order number. 
 
11. Your right to cancel 
Under UK consumer law, you have a 14‑day cooling‑off period for most purchases. 

Please note: 
  • The right to cancel ends once a digital download has started
  • Physical items must be returned unopened 
This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty goods. 
 

12. Limitation of liability 
We are responsible for supplying products as described. 
However, we are not liable for: 
  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Loss of income, profit or data
  • Technical issues outside our control 
We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, availability or delivery information, even after an order has been placed. 
 

13. Personal information 
Your personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website. 

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Payment information is always encrypted during transmission. 
 

14. Changes to these terms 
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. 

The version published on the website is always the current version. By continuing to use the shop, you agree to any updates. 
 

15. Governing law 
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. 

Any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
